Rezervace Las Lagunas de La Mata (výhled na plameňáky)
The Parc Natural de Las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja Nature Reserve covers an area of 3 700 hectares.
The salty, semi-arid soil, the numerous wetlands and the high temperatures in the Lagunas de la Mata-Torrevieja reserve create ideal conditions for specific, thermophilic flora and fauna. Reeds, grasses, shrubs and flowers, including orchids, are abundant, but birdwatchers will be especially pleased. The lagoons are inhabited by numerous flocks of flamingoes, gulls and grebes, and you can also see the stork-footed pipit, fox goose, black-backed gull, common tern and common tern.
